The portal was initially published in October 2003 incorporating over 1000 links to places in Devon.  Its popularity has confirmed our intention to gradually grow the portal to include all counties in the United Kingdom.  Obviously this ambition will take some time but, at present, we are extending to cover other counties in the South West of England.  Our Cornish sister site is already up and running.
