Chapter one Lola woke early she had arrived yesterday with her mummy & daddy to visit her nanny Sue. Nanny Sue lived in a bungalow, in a small village in Devon. Granddad had return with mummy & daddy to Bridgewater to help them with there move to Bristol. Lola ran to the kitchen where her nanny was preparing a picnic for their day's outing. Nanny, nanny Lola called as she ran the sun is shinning bright and the sky is so blue. Good morning Lola nanny said my you are exited. I have been looking forward to our outing to the seaside today will we be going soon. I think you should get dressed first and you must have breakfast or you will get tummy pains during the journey we have plenty of time before the bus comes. When they were ready they locked the door and walked to the bus stop with nanny carrying a wicker basket with the picnic in, while Lola was skipping along ahead. The bus stop was outside the local Inn & Restaurant and local shop. Lola could see the small bus coming up the hill to take them to Exeter Bus Station. The bus arrived and while nanny paid the fare Lola sat down next to the window and nanny sat beside her the journey was along country lanes and Lola could see the lams in the fields jumping around and playing chase. Nanny explain to Lola that when they arrive at the bus station she had to pop into the Craft Shop to place an order with the lady owner. There would be plenty of time before the Paignton bus arrived to take them to the seaside. The Double Decker Bus arrived Lola said to nanny can we go upstairs please, yes replied nanny the bus starts here so you can go up and sit in one of the front seats while I pay the driver for our tickets. Nanny join Lola and within a few minutes the bus was on it's way and was out of the quickly out of the city passing lots of shops and Garages and into the countryside. Very soon the bus was climbing a very steep hill and Lola could see the Exe Estuary and the City over the tops of the trees Oh nanny it's so exciting I have never been able to see so far before. The bus only stopped a few times and soon it was on the outskirts of Torquay passing by lots of houses, Shops, Inns & Restaurants and Garages and then going down hill pass the Hotels and Guest Houses to the Seafront. Lola suddenly saw the sandy beach and the sea with lots of sailing boats. Nanny said its just a short ride now along the seafront before we arrive at our destination Paignton. Once off the bus Lola ran to the beach wall and cried out nanny Sue it's a lovely sandy beach. They made there way onto the beach and nanny took out of her wicker basket a large plastic sheet, time for our picnic now and then you can go for a paddle in the sea. Many hours later nanny said it's time we left and went for our afternoon tea, there were lots of cakes and drinks to chose from and they had a lovely tea. Then nanny said off to the seafront now for the next part of our journey. Nanny and Lola sat on a seat and Lola kept saying is this our bus as many had already gone past. Lola was in for a big surprise as behind the bus was a White Stretch Lincoln and it stopped right by them and who should get out but her Uncle Richard looking very smart in his uniform. Nanny Lola cried out it's Uncle Steve I know replied nanny he has come to take us to his home in Brixham.
